The drawings of the series “Changes of State” are compositions made by combining my own freehand drawings of invented nature, with scans of botany books. The pot (which is the garden), is the “horn of plenty” from where countless species grow; overflow, explode. It is life that reproduces itself, transforms itself into a multiplicity of elements to expand and not perish. In nature, life and death merge in an admirable flow.
